Cornell had received a grant from USAID to set up and run “EO” a new venture accelerator program in Ukraine. As part of that program, and as Director of Cornell’s Life Science Venture Center, I provided mentorship for the Life Science teams in each cohort. As is often the case in such programs, many of the entrants with whom I worked were “concept-stage” and lacked the means, plan, and management to move forward.
