Working out of Saudi Arabia, acting as Sub Sea Superintendent for the first deepwater drill ship to work in the Red Sea. This high profile assignment involved 6 months as project supervisor in Singapore's Sembawang shipyard to re-activate the drill ship which has had a series of lost contracts due to Sub Sea related issues.During my role as Sub Sea supervisor I was responsible for the correct assembly, operation, maintenance and testing of the subsea blowout preventer and related equipment. Maintain and repair heave compensating equipment. Maintain subsea running and retrieving tools and supervise the running and retrieving of all subsea equipment. Complete and document Planned Maintenance requirements. Complete and document all modifications, breakdowns, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment. Control of system spares for the maintenance of subsea and heave equipment. Complete and document BOP test reports. Due to being a Swat team member I am competent working with all Cameron/ Hydril stacks, overhauling Hydril & Shaffer control systems and have the theoretical experience gained from the Moduspec academy for Shaffer BOP’s/ associated equipment. Have MUX (Including DP) deepwater and conventional BOP/ rig experience.During the last 2 years the high value courses I have attended are:Moduspec Subsea Engineering Training Programme - IADC accredited (Four modules).Hydril Basic MUXHydril advanced E.T. and MUX troubleshooting.Cameron Controls advanced hydraulics.BOP down time prevention.Well Control In-date, Well Control Certificate IADC accredited.

Originally employed as a commissioning engineer for new build semi's and drill ships. This was mainly involved in commissioning Cameron Mk1 and Mk11 MUX pods from workshop build through to shipyard sign off. I was then seconded to a new build semi sub that I was originally involved in commissioning in order to be on hand for any initial teething issues. This continued for several years and turned into being a core crew member operating as sole night shift Sub Sea engineer.My early years with Cameron were also interspersed with numerous production jobs which involved testing, running and maintaing sub sea trees.

Responsible for the safe operation of Well Tests including maintenance and repair of various types of Well test, SubSea and Wireline equipment for major oil company clients. Experienced with mechanical and instrumentation maintenance on 10K and 15K Well tests/SubSea Equipment, 3 phase Test Separators, Steam/Diesel Heaters, Sand filters, Sand Cyclone, Hydro Cyclone, Liquid/solid separators, pump transfer systems, all types of Instrumentation (pneumatic and electrical), 5” and 7” SubSea intervention tree’s and basic Wireline tools.
