The Executive Director is responsible for leading and directing the affairs and business of the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority and reports directly to its Board of Commissioners. The Rhode Island Convention Center Authority operates the Rhode Island Convention & Entertainment Complex, which includes the Rhode Island Convention Center and garages (RICC), Amica Mutual Pavilion (AMP), Veterans Memorial Auditorium (The Vets), and the Innovation District Garage (IDG) near the Garrahy Courthouse. The Authority works with several marketing partners to book its facilities, including the Oak View Group, which manages the AMP, RICC and IDG, Professional Facilities Management (PFM), which manages The Vets, PSE Agency (PSE), the exclusive sales & marketing agent of all three facilities, and the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau (PWCVB).

These divisions included the Office of Management and Budget (OMB); Legal Services; Accounts and Control; Statewide Planning; the Office of Diversity, Equity and Opportunity (ODEO); the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM); Division of Purchasing; Human Resources; and Enterprise Technology Strategy and Services (ETSS). Responsibilities included direct oversight of Statewide Planning, DCAMM, Purchasing and the Central Business Office (CBO) within the Department of Administration.
