    Co-founded Innovative in 1990, and grew company literally from the garage to ~$8.5M in sales in 2011 until it was sold to ISI Packaging. During this time I was responsible for hardware, logic firmware and DSP engineering groups; operations and finance. I was responsible for managing a staff of up to 20 engineers, finance, production and operations. The staff consisted primarily of master's level and very experienced engineers, plus a small but industrious operations team that handled contract manufacturing and procurement. This company is in a niche market of high speed products for engineering and scientific applications. The company grew solely by self-funding and was profitable through its growth. Developed products for signal processing, data acquisition and control applications using DSP and FPGA. Led company development of embedded hardware featuring Xilinx FPGA, PCI Express XMC modules, VPX, and custom hardware. These products featured high speed analog IO coupled with very high performance FGPA and DSP computing cores. Notable product lines included X3, X5 and X6 products which were very successful for the company. Developed firmware team that created IP cores for FPGA used in communications, RADAR, high speed image analysis, and controls. Led work on LTE receiver led to a patent for a robust OFDM synchronization method. Led work on real-time channel emulator for LTE, which manifest in several papers by group members. This work was done in conjunction with Texas Tech University and in-house technical leaders.After the company was sold to ISI in Jan 2011, I continued in the almost same capacity as VP.Patents : Pre-Detection Integrator: Patent pending (filed January 2011) algorithm for frequency-domain pre-processing of RADAR signals.
