Overview:In my role as Managing Director, I am accountable for the successful delivery of all projects undertaken by Westec Civil. My goal is for every project to be successful with respect to safety, environment, quality, client satisfaction and community. This is well supported by my vast experience in alliance and traditional contract delivery methods, which provide me with a thorough understanding of objectives and challenges experienced by the various disciplines involved in project delivery. My role was challenging yet very rewarding. The responsibility was mine for the daily management of large earthmoving equipment including Graders (140’s & 16’s), dozers D9 & D10’s), excavators (30t to 120t), dump trucks (articulated 40t & Rigid 777’s), 637 caterpillar scraper, as well as compaction equipment. My roster was 21/7 however I generally stayed 4-8 weeks at a time due to me taking a great deal of ownership in my section of rail. This project was a great career achievement.
