* Allstate outsourced learning services to IBM in 2006. I was one of the Allstate consultants brought into IBM to serve in a client service/project management role. Lead in the design and project management of innovative learning experiences for Allstate clients. Consulted with internal clients on matters pertaining to performance improvements.AccomplishmentsWith a budget of $400,000, project managed a team of designers and developers in the creation of ten simulation based online courses. Courses were meant to teach Allstate employees about a brand new claims application. Coached the designers to create the course in such a way that it taught employees about the new application, while helping them to overcome fears about how it may change the way they do their work.

Instructional designer and project manager focusing on the design and development of web-based courseware, immersive simulations and virtual classes.Led a team responsible for the design and development of a required curriculum of corporate policy courses. Needed to covert “dry” policy documents written in legalese into an online course that was more conversational in tone. Decided upon a game-based, simulation-driven approach that learners found engaging.

Designed and project managed the creation of multimedia-based training products for United Airlines’ over 9000 Customer Service RepresentativesAccomplishmentsWith a budget of over $500,000 – project managed the design and development of an interactive-video based CBT program on teamwork intended for Customer Service Representatives who work at United’s gates. Learner feedback to the course was overwhelmingly positive. This was an immersive simulation which included interactive video and multi-pathing.

Primary Responsibilities Designed and developed instructor-led courses, job aides and remedial education for the CTA's bus and rail employees.AccomplishmentsWith the introduction of a new automatic fare system at the CTA, the role of the ticket agent was about to go away. Led the education team tasked with transitioning these employees to the new role of customer service agent. Created instructional materials, job aides and level three evaluation tools to help gauge the effectiveness of the training.
