After leaving the U. S. Navy in 1985 I entered the workforce as a technician for Edmac Compressor Company. Within 2 years I was Senior Service Technician and operated branch offices in North and South Carolina. I moved back to Jacksonville Florida as a technician for Gulf Atlantic Equipment. I remained in the compressed air and gas industry for about 12 years. I always maintained status as a leading technician or Service Manager. In 1990 I ventured into the swimming pool industry. My experience as a service technician proved invaluable to several swimming pool companies through the years and has moved at least one of them into a position as a leading pool builder and an innovative company that will continue to break records and grow into a national company. I worked for several years for American Leak Detection in Jacksonville Florida. A great job and that franchise is now owned by a good friend and continues to do outstanding work. After moving on from American Leak Detection. I went to work for SCP Poolcorp. From customer service rep doing counter sales. I ventured into the pool construction industry as General Manager for one of the largest pool builders in Florida. I returned to Poolcorp as branch manager in Delray Beach Florida. While the economy took a nosedive and the industry got hit hard, I managed to keep a small branch office afloat and enjoyed a 17% sales increase even in a downturn economy. HornerXpress offered me a position in St Augustine where I managed not only that branch, but also found myself as operations manager for the Jacksonville branch as well.
