    Staff Engineer in the Advanced Research and Development department exploring new technologies and developing new product prototypes in a variety of programming languages. Projects included linux based SOC's interfacing with SPI devices over custom designed capes. I was responsible for the cape schematics and circuits utilized. I was also responsible for all driver code on the SOC which was written in C++ on a linux (Debian) base system. I redesigned the PRNG utilized by the company and the accompanying test suite which ran the complete diehard set of test routines to validate the PRNG.Former manager of the server platform team consisting of 26- 40 developers with a variety of skills. The team was responsible for developing the system software to communicate with our EGM's along with various back office systems utilizing industry standard protocols. The team actively participates in developing the industry standards that we adhere to. I am the former chair person (2011 - 2013) of the G2S committee which is one of the committees created by the Gaming Standards Association. In the past I have chaired the S2S committee (2008 - 2010) and participated in most of the other committees.

Provided the glue software to switch over to an internal database from a third party database while keeping the interface as close to the original as possible in order to minimize changes in the application code. I originally wrote the base switch software to communicate with our backend control application over a TCP/IP socket connection. I then moved into the network processor department and designed the Cetacean specific table lookup routines. I also worked on the gigabit ethernet version of the Cetacean router at various levels inside the C5 processor.
