Within a year, I was promoted to Manager of a retail store, and served in that role in three different locations including the flagship store with sales topping $40 million per year. I advanced to VP of Sales, and had responsibility for 38 stores covering 7 different models. North Carolina Retail, Florida Retail, Thomasville, Drexel, Two Design Centers, Three Clearance Centers and a program to influence Independent Designers. My role grew to taking over the Merchandising for these stores. I was involved in all aspects of Furniture Retail, from Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, Marketing, Merchandising and Sales Training.I have worked with two Manufacturers, one domestic and one import. Performing the function of National Sales Manager with Independent reps covering the country. I set Sales Policies, Marketing Campaigns, Merchandising Trends, and Operational Best Practices.
