In collaboration with the Bar Manager, we created a cocktail menu, which made Origin one of the best Cocktail Bars in Toronto in 2014 We implementing more rigorous and efficient Inventory systems, cleaning schedules and helped create an unparalleled work ethos within an extremely talented team.

Using Agresso, I created payroll reports, undertook billing tasks and general account management to help smooth the reporting processI was given responsibility for managing the petty cash account on a weekly basis I worked alongside the Business Manager to create strategies and ideas to improve efficiency and adhere more to the tight budgetary constraints, a non-profit organization facesI assisted in developing a framework that allowed a greater understanding of how the business/accounting practices operate from the perspective of the other departments in the Salvation Army

I was hired at Nuvo Bar in Birmingham in a period of transition of management and this was by far the hardest but one of the most rewarding jobs I ever held.I was hired as a bartender but was promoted within 3 weeks to help guide and train, relatively new bar team.In 3 months we decided to cater to a whole new clientele with the introduction of new food menu due vast improvement of service standards, allowed us to compete with the cities best once again! We, as a team, returned Nuvo into what it once was, Birmingham's No 1 nightlife destination for the rich and famous, whilst not dismissing the regular customer who wanted this night of luxury!

This was my first job within the hospitality industry, which gave me the best foundation to support myself throughout my studies and created a career for the past 7 years I worked in an extremely tough and strict work environment, which had very high standards to accommodate any and all of the guests needs. Having the ability to go above and beyond was instilled in our work ethos.

This job required an analytical eye whilst adhering to strict guidelines and timeframes, which allowed me to gain valuable experience not only in an office environment but helped me develop my attention to detail. We had to work within a secure environment handling confidential information and thus honesty and integrity were qualities, all the staff needed to have but also honour.
