Fundamentally an empath, life-long learner, active listener and critical observer, I lead people and organizations to become the cause of their success. My entire professional life has been rooted in the field of communications. For the first 22 years I was a news anchor and reporter in Detroit, Michigan. In my forties I read a book called "Halftime" about switching from a search for sucess to searching for significance. That led me to a fairly radical career transition from television news to church ministry. For the next 18 years I worked for Kensington Community Church, a large non-denominational church in Troy, Michigan, where I served in a variety of roles. My first role at Kensington was as video director, when I produced and oversaw the production of video stories that "aired" in our weekend services and online. My 2nd role at Kensington was as Campus Director, when I oversaw a staff of 10 and a congregation of 5,000 people. My final full-time role at Kensington was as Director of Promotions and Strategic Communications, when I oversaw the communication strategy for the entire multi-campus church of 15,000. After that, I continued producing videos for Kensington on a freelance (part-time) basis for a number of years. In more recent years, I have taken on the role of Marketing Director for a family-owned generator business (based out of Michigan and Florida). Finally, after moving to Estero, Florida I began to serve on a number of non-profit boards, chair a committee in our local community, host a local Podcast, and teach classes for inmates at the Desoto Correctional Institution.
