Leveraging my knowledge of small business financing and credit needs to help individuals and companies grow in today's challenging evironment.

I had responsibility for prospecting and meeting with new potential clients across all business lines. Also served as strategic account representative for several key clients.

I had responsibility for overseeing entire 3PL division including maintaining key client and supplier relationships as well as business development and sales strategy. I led major legislative effort to safely and efficiently increase truck weights for key clients saving several million dollars annually and was a member of the company's leadership team.

I had responsibility for overseeing all major 3PL accounts within the metals sector including management of on-site staff at client locations. In addition to gaining exposure to many different supply chain structures, I led effort to standardize metrics and reporting packages for key clients. I was directly involved in helping secure the contract renewal of company's largest account and subsequently received the Chaiman's Club MVP award in 2012.

My role expanded to handling all inbound transportation in addition to the steel division (approx. spend of $90 million). I successfully integrated on-site operational personnel from our 3PL while I maintained strategic relationships and negotiations with suppliers.

I was responsible for overseeing the steel division (12 facilities) with approximate freight spend of $60 million annually. I led several initiatives including a restructuring of fuel surcharge agreements and a right sizing of our dedicated / private fleet. I also led an RFP for 3PL services and subsequent integration of a new vendor and contract.

I was asked to lead top company transformation initiative involving centralizing transportation operations among 12 steel facilities (vs decentralized before) and integrating 3PL structure. I benchmarked and implemented key KPIs (both operational and financial) and developed the first monthly reporting package for senior management specific to transportation cost and trends.

I was responsible for consolidating monthly financials from all locations and operating units in addition to preparing the company wide budget and forecast. I was also involved in several acquisition and divesture projects in addition to analyzing financial impact of major company transformation initiatives.

I was involved in all accounting functions including preparation of monthly financial package and quarterly tax returns. The Controller was promoted and relocated during my time there and I assumed all responsibility before being promoted and relocated myself.

I worked (and paid) my way through college working at local truck terminal. Did everything from driving truck on some of our busiest routes to loading and unloading the daily linehaul trucks.
