As a member of a DBA team I maintain a conglomerate of Oracle and SQL database with over 1700 databases on 120+ virtual servers. Most of the instances exist on premises with a few in AWS and Azure. Responsibilities greatly vary day to day but have included 1) attending to alerts for resources such as disk space or CPU usage, 2) resolving SQL Agent, Crontab and Tidal jobs that have either failed or running long, 3) fulfilling request for new or modified user access, 4) implementing application accounts with the appropriate privileges, 5) creating new databases or building new database servers, 6) supporting replication via Oracle Data Guard or SQL Server Always On or QLIK Replicate, 7) support internal and external audits, 8) patching, 9) automating repeatable processes via scripts and schedulers like SQL Agent and Tidal Automation, 10) resolved query performance issues often caused by plan regression, 11) use of and often support maintenance of DBA tools like SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA), SolarWinds SQL Sentry (formerly SentryOne), RedGate SQL Compare, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Oracle SQL Developer, SQLPlus, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

Build and maintain Oracle databases for many customers and many environments. Over the years that has involved many or some of the following:Oracle 10g database, 11g database, & OEM 12c installation. OEM 12c configuration involved the setting up of groups, rolling out of agents to host, configuring of metrics and alerting mechanisms, user configuration, attendance to Oracle OEM 12c training, training of customers on how to use OEM 12c for their environment, pulling AWR report. Linux crontab scheduling, package and RPM installation, emailing through SMTP hosts, bash_profile for oracle user setup, ssh key setup. Starting of GoldenGate command prompt, listing of existing GoldenGate groups, & startup of abended groups. Backups, restores and recovery using RMAN & Datapump. Administration of High Availability Services (HAS) using Grid, ASM, and utilities such as SRVCTL.

Worked for a Canadian company with a presence in south east Michigan. Company specialized in low voltage network and closed caption video surveillance systems. Task involved tracing signal over cat 5e copper, installation of cat 5e and cat 3 cabling, installation of fiber optic cabling, certification of cat 5e and fiber optic installation, installation and troubleshooting of video surveillance systems and door entry systems.

On site support and installation of IT equipment for various companies such as Vonage, Wendys, Jo-Ann's Fabric, etc. Involved the installation of CAT 5e cabling, routers, DSL modems, etc.

Performed much of the same duties as I did at Plastech but not in a manager position.

Us

Started at Plastech as corporate commodity buyer and ended up working as a manager of sourcing products for new as well as current business. Items included clips, screws, speakers, wire harness, lighting, chrome detailing, fabrics, paint, adhesives, foam, carpet, seals, etc. All these parts were to be used in the making of our master part that was then sold to the automotive manufacture such as Ford, Chrysler, Nissan, GM. In Spring of 2008, Plastech filed bankruptcy protection due to Chrysler canceling their contract. By June of that year Plastech had been sold to one it's customers, Johnson Controls which then moved the company to Plymouth and renamed it Johnson Controls Interior Manufacturing (JCIM)
