The company develops and implements tracking systems for monitoring animal behavior using various technologies, including accelerometers, RFID, and computer vision.Algorithm Development: Develop algorithms to identify unique behaviors in various animal species. Specific algorithms were tailored for different species: food consumption in cows and swine, grooming in dogs, and feeder and temperature data in cats. Data for each species came from diverse sources with distinct characteristics, necessitating unique processing and analysis techniques.Programming: Build repositories for data retrieval, processing, loading into a wrapper, and presenting figures. Additionally, develop an efficient GUI using Python to facilitate these processes.Experimental Design and Analysis: Analyze experiments addressing clinical questions and assessing the reliability and potential of our tracking devices. This involved designing studies with complex sample structures, suggesting improvements for future designs, and analyzing the results using appropriate statistical methods. In addition, integrated behavior data with medical records to inform and advance drug development and medical research, such as evaluating antibiotic efficiency for udder infections. Analyses are conducted using Python and R.Statistical Focal Point: Provide statistical consulting and support for colleagues' projects. This included:• Heat detection using a Bayesian approach.• Constructing complex Confidence Intervals (or Credible Intervals in Bayesian terms) for a lice detection project using bootstrap methods.• Analyzing device reliability using survival analysis.

• Contributing to algorithms development and implementation, while moving from lab to real life data; defining characteristics, challenges, and solutions of new data types.• Prove-of-concept to customers, includes: solving problems in implementation, presentation, and reports writing. • Establish IBD National Database: merging comprehensive healthcare data from all Israeli HMOs.• Performing various of statistical analyses including – GLM, cross-validation, features selection, survival analysis and causality analysis; dealing with text mining and deidentification problems.• Ten abstracts accepted to internationals conferences; several articles are in process.
