A senior level device and system engineering specialist with extensive industry experience in enterprise-class computer hardware development and support. Specialized in Sustaining Engineering, DVT & SIT device and system qualification, performance & diagnostic testing, root cause fault analysis / FMEA and issue escalation management for SCSI, ATA & Fiber Channel disk drives, SSD, HBA / controllers, enclosures and storage subsystems. Provided engineering technical support for all midrange and enterprise-class hard disk drives offered by the corporation, as well as other storage devices, including tape & optical drives, solid state disk, removable media, magnetic-optical media, robotic tape libraries and disk RAID arrays. Qualified new models and changes to previously released models to assure compatibility with existing systems through regression testing, system integration test, design verification test and environmental (HASS, HALT & ESS) test. Functioned as highest level of escalation for HDD & SSD storage devices. Solely handled all device issues and served as customer advocate, supplier interface and technical liaison to drive all field & internal escalation cases to resolution. Established effective working relationships with area drive supplier Field Application Engineers. Assumed support for all disk storage devices of three of the world's largest storage providers. Achieved 100% success rate for issue escalation resolution and solution implementation for critical problems, including data loss, data corruption, interoperability, performance & reliability issues, serviceability, firmware problems and high failure rates.
