Oversee the engineering operations of a ~$5 million yearly revenue Building Automation Contractor. Direct staff of 4-6 project engineers in interpreting project specifications/proposals,and review designs for feasibility.• Serve as interface to other facets of the organization (upper management, sales, project management, service and field technicians)• Responsible for scheduling, prioritizing and assisting engineering staff• Perform monthly labor forecasting• Execute engineering quality reviews on all projects prior to submission• Provide engineering cost estimates and proposal reviews• Perform project management responsibilities (scheduling, issuing subcontracts, ordering material, attending/holding project meetings, invoice review, project forecasting, and onsite interface)• Interact daily with customers, design engineers, subcontractors, and vendors• Assist in high level system troubleshooting• Facilitate IT decisions and discussions regarding system layout and customer network interface.

Design Building Automation Systems within material and labor budget constraints. Typical tasks include:• Create project Bill of Materials• Size control valves, dampers and actuators• Select appropriate pressure, temperature, humidity, current, etc. for control• Procure vendors and quotes for Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Air Flow Measuring Stations (AFMS), Flow Meters and other specialty material• Determine network connections and layout• Create system sequence of operations• Develop wiring details/diagrams for components and control hardware• Determine connectivity to 3rd party equipment for system integration (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.)• Develop system database, programming and graphics.• Assist Field Technicians with start-up and check-out as necessary

• Presented a strategic action plan to the General Managers from multiple Automated Logic branches• Utilized Myers Briggs to gain a functional understanding of personal leadership style and increase emotional intelligence• Attended forums centered on increasing knowledge of the characteristics and traits of a “Level 5 Leader”• Created a detailed personal leadership development plan to maximize career growth
