This job role is a networking role which consists on working on Cisco systems as well as using Zhone, Adtran and Actelis networking technologies. I was on a service desk with SLA's to meet and again, it was my responsibility to ensure customers were happy with the service. My day to day role would be to remedy faulty network lines such as FTTC, FTTP, EAD, NGA, ADSL, EFM. I would do this by remoting onto our switches/routers in the exchange and on site and by using command line to resolve problems. I have learnt a lot about networking such as VLAN's, VRF's, varying networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, static routing and have a big understanding of routing and switching.
