Besides identifying business development opportunities to grow the business, I have had to develop relationships with senior U.S. government officials, regulatory agencies, and multilateral institutions in order to secure passage of certain legislation as well as the impact of economic sanctions and export control issues that benefits my clients’ interests. This would include U.S. trade and investment expansion such as Japan bilateral trade, China’s WTO accession and Free Trade Agreements with Korea, Vietnam, Chile, Singapore, Central America, Australia and the renegotiation of the NAFTA agreement into the USMCA.
