Following the completion of my MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice, I joined Integral Business Support Ltd (Trading as British Isles DBT Training) in 2014 as Team Leader (Venue Liaison) to manage the logistical arm of the business, overseeing and liaising training events across the UK and Ireland. During my time in this role I have managed and attended over 70 DBT training events in this region and has since managed training events for successful implementations overseas in countries such as Denmark, Lithuania, Hong Kong and Poland. I continue to attend training events to ensure the training experience for clinicians is of the highest standard. Through this role I have gained an in-depth, working knowledge of DBT and a comprehensive understanding of training packages that biDBT offers, which i used in my post as Executive Training Coordinator, commencing 2017. I am responsible for the development and strategic output of the business, advising clinicians on all levels, from individuals beginning their DBT journey through to working with clinical leads looking to implement comprehensive DBT Trust-wide, in a range of clinical settings. To fit with biDBT’s mission of making DBT easier to access by working to increase the number of trained professionals who can deliver DBT, My focus is to effectively disseminate DBT training on a national and international scale and since taking on the role has doubled the number of training events delivered per annum, increasing training capacity and bettering the geographical spread of training events which in turn improves accessibility for clinicians.
