• Verify, edit and scan over 1,300 documents daily - includes thorough review of customer addresses, product descriptions, billing information, international customs information, hazardous materials protocols, and other shipping reference items.• Provide customer service – includes providing timely and accurate information to all incoming customer telephone calls and email inquiries ranging from estimated time of arrival to arranging will-calls and dock drops, as well as referring to other UPS departments/services as needed and requested.• Review and approve for accuracy a variety of forms/documentation - includes UPS drivers’ daily mileage totals, arrival/departure times, customer tracking numbers assigned, information inputted regarding products/materials shipped, charges and reason codes, bills of lading, delivery receipts and various other form review.• Provide dispatch duties – includes checking-in, lining-up and verifying arrival and departure times of UPS drivers and other carriers who arrive/depart the shipping dock.• Schedule customer appointments for pick-up/delivery and collect detailed information including pick-up time, location, product, size/weight, hazardous material information, international customs information and provide information to customer regarding shipment.• Tabulate, process and report on money received/collected daily.• Organize, maintain and monitor files - includes bills of lading, delivery receipts, driver cards, and other secure and/or confidential personnel/business information.• Operate, maintain and repair various office equipment – includes computer printers, copiers and fax machines.• Create, enter and maintain database files on shipping/receiving daily metrics.• Train new employees and supervisors to operate the following software systems, office procedures and/or equipment: Citrix, Edge, MS Office, UPS shipping and office procedures, fax, printer, and scanning machine.
