Social Impact Insights is a small consultancy that works with social impact investors and social entrepreneurs to generate financial and social value from their work. I provide strategy, operations, capital raising, risk management, and social outcomes measurement and management advice. My portfolio includes working with the leaders of a Rwandan farming social enterprise and a pan-African education social enterprise to enhance their strategies and operations and explore new capital raises. Geographically, my primary focus is on clients in Central and East Africa. I also work with government and social impact investing clients across the UK as opportunities arise. Social Finance is a social impact investing and consulting firm that partners with governments, service providers, the voluntary sector and social impact investors to find better ways of tackling social problems in the United Kingdom and globally. I split my time between London and my home in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, leading teams working to deepen Social Finance's impact across the whole of the United Kingdom. I worked on various outcomes-focused and social investment projects with social impact investors, the NHS and Integrated Care Systems, charities, and local authorities. My passion is improving mental health services and support, with a particular focus on high-quality and stable housing.I previously led our Housing and Homelessness practice, focusing on the link between housing and health (preventative and rehabilitative). I have worked on these issues with the British Government (HM Treasury, DWP, DLUHC, and Homes England), the NHS, local authorities, and housing and social care charities. I offered my clients a combination of social investment, strategic (systems thinking), stakeholder communications, programmatic implementation and operational advice to ensure the inclusive and equitable design and implementation of social programmes. I also have experience working with data, data systems, and information governance.

Invest Newcastle drives and delivers economic growth in the British cities of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Gateshead. As the Head of Inward Investment, I helped lead a cross-sectoral team working to secure private capital investment on behalf of our local business community and to bring in new, sustainable jobs across the region. Invest Newcastle is the economic development arm of the broader NewcastleGateshead Initiative. Third Sector is a social impact and government consultancy that uses public funding, data, culture change, and policy as levers to improve social outcomes for America’s most vulnerable communities. As a client-facing Director, I advised leaders of health and human services agencies, foundations, and community-based service providers on ways of using public and philanthropic dollars to improve societal outcomes. During this time, I worked on the development of three Social Impact Bonds. Two of these bonds were focused on addressing issues related to housing instability and recidivism. The other bond focused on addressing maternal mental health and two-generational poverty. My work focused on improving educational attainment, economic mobility, housing stability, and mental health. Geographically, I primarily worked with clients in Southern California, Connecticut, Oregon, and South Carolina. As a Director on Third Sector's Management Team, I helped to grow Third Sector’s annual revenue from $2M to $9M. As the Director of Recruitment, I hired over 50 people over 4 years and innovated Third Sector's recruitment processes.

I developed an expansion strategy and operating model to increase loan collection rates, leading to a bank loan from the Punjab National Bank.
