Our Nevada County programs are based on the original 900 acre Milhous ranch about 12 miles from the historic town of Nevada City, CA. We also operate an office in Concord California for community based mental health services.

My responsibilities included providing direct oversight to the treatment teams, Human Resource dept, Intake and Admissions, training, staff development and marketing. I was responsible for maintaining a work force of 180 full time employees. I was also responsible for the development of placement agreements and contracts in order to ensure an adequate referral base statewide to keep our facilities full. I traveled extensively throughout the State meeting with County partners to present our programs, interview potential candidate and develop relationships.

At that time our agency was serving youth that were pre and post Napa State Hospital. I was promoted to lead Child Care Worker after 2 months and was transferred to the girls program at Pond lane after 1 year. In 1989 I was promoted to shift supervisor and transferred to the ranch in Nevada City. I supervised the weekend shift for about 3 years and concurrently served as the Training Coordinator for the agency. I developed a training curriculum and facilitated in service training sessions at all agency locations for about 2 years.
