CurrentAs design engineer at PLGS I was responsible for following the Pressure Boundary QA Manual to complete design tasks that were nuclear systems designed to ASME III NCA,NB,NC,ND,NF, II Part D and XI and for conventional systems designed to ASME B31.1, 31.3, IV and VIII. Also responsible for ensuring design work was in compliance with CSA N285.0 for nuclear and CSA B51 for conventional work. Our QA program was based on National Board Inspection Code we were responsible to understand ANSI/NB-23.We were also responsible for Pipe Stress Analysis building models and reviewing and accepting Consultant Analysis Reports. Also responsible for National Plumbing Code, National Fire Code and National Building Code as it applied to the Nuclear-Mechanical aspects of our work.I was responsible for Assessing issues for compliance and making design changes to ensure configuration control was maintained.I was also responsible for mentoring and training and taught various aspects of ASME and other code topics for the issues at the station.I was also responsible for reviewing Procurement Equivalency reviews assisting with Audits and other tasks as assigned.
