I am the global packaging lead for the $800m+ Ostomy portfolio. As part of this work I develop NPD packaging and support base business activities. With a strong background in packaging technology I am the Programme manager and SME for a high profile plastic packaging reduction programme which will reduce Ostomy plastic packaging by 80%. In addition to this, I am leading the development of a new innovative wound care package which will improve the environmental footprint of sterile medical devices, whilst reducing costs and optimising logistics.

Managing numerous projects focused around critical packaging improvements. As such, I am the current Global Technical Lead for UDI and MDR packaging compliance. This role requires developing and delivering packaging solutions and equipment investment plans across all of Convatec's global operations and all franchises, ensuring all infused devices, ostomy care, continence & critical care, and advanced wound care remain packaging regulatory compliant. As well as this I also lead, support & advise on a variety of lean, CI projects, and packaging cost reduction initiatives.

This includes as a member of Cheshire Police Authority 2012-13, Chair of Supporting the Local Economy Committee 2013-15, and as a board member of Warrington Borough Transport (Network Warrington) 2012-15. As a member of Warrington Borough Council's Executive Board, I was the portfolio holder for Culture & Partnerships, including:- Creation and delivery of the Cultural Services framework inc. Warrington's Bid to become UK City of Culture 2021- Town centre delivery inc our retail economy.- Major events strategy and delivery.- Tourism, both business and leisure.- Volunteering- Council nominated non-exec director on both Livewire & Culture Warrington.

Doubled daily outputs through the implementation of OEE, TPM & Lean manufacturing principles.Project support for a site wide automation drive and the delivery of an extensive commissioning and validation plan.

Awarded Unilever UK Apprentice of the Year 2009 as part of a four year accredited Unilever apprenticeship and subsequently offered a position as Focus Improvement Engineer. Responsibility for two high speed packaging lines, including the most modern filling line within Unilever Warrington. During these five years I was based at both Port Sunlight & Warrington and benefited from extensive exposure to projects, TPM, and a variety of technologies (Liquid & Powder Filling).
