Engaged as a Senior Revit Technician responsible for substructure / superstructure modelling, drawing production and project coordination on several challenging projects, including:• Rivershill House, Cheltenham – A steel-framed extension & conversion / remodelling of an existing 4-storey concrete framed office building into high-spec residential accommodation.• Bartley Square, Hook - Prestious residential development of 4no. 3 & 4-storey load-bearing masonry apartment blocks built on an in-situ RC podium slab above a contiguous-piled & RC framed basement carpark.• Newbury Racecourse Apartments – A substantial mixed-use development of 6no. 5 & 6-storey blocks comprising piled substructure with RC frame construction up to first floor RC podium slab, then lightweight SFS construction above.• Hillside Gardens Sports Facility, University of West of England – A development of 3G sports pitches and changing-block, including civils / external works / drainage modelled in Revit, coded to generate COBIE deliverables, and coordinated between the various Consultants using Revizto.

Worked as a Structural Revit Technician on a variety of complex work-shared Revit-based projects where One were appointed as a multi-disciplinary consultant.The role involved structural modelling, coordination, extensive inter-disciplinary collaboration and drawing production on a wide variety of projects, including:• Kitchener Barracks, Chatham - Substructure modelling on this 11-acre site comprising 94 modular new-build houses, 101 modular new-build apartments in 3no. 5-storey blocks (over 2-storey RC basement car-park) and 72 conversion flats in the part-demolished / part-extended & remodelled ‘Khartoum Building’ and ‘Barrack Block’.• Conduit Lane, Hoddesdon – Model refinement, coordination and 'construction-issue' detailing on this 5-storey RC framed residential development with steel-framed penthouse units. The project also included several brick-clad RC retaining walls and RC pits for automated car-stacking equipment on a tightly bounded urban site.• Tanworth Lane, Solihull – A new-build 2-storey residential care home in part steel-frame, part-loadbearing masonry, with a variety of roof-truss configurations complete with an external terrace deck and a full-height glazed atrium.• Extra Care Facility, Stanley, Falkland Islands - Substructure modelling & detailing for a new-build timber-framed single-storey residential care home, including extensive groundworks and retaining walls.• EEF teaching facility - new steel-framed mezzanine decks constructed inside an existing portal-framed building as part of a development to create a new vocational skills study centre.

Worked on a new £155m biomass energy plant featuring numerous buildings & external structures, using Revit to produce steel & concrete GA details & drawings, and linking models in Navisworks for coordination with the main-contractor, specialist plant designer & architects models.The role called for day-to-day liaison with the contractors site-engineers, handling RFI's, reviewing subcontractor fabrication detailing and ongoing Revit model development to suit a variety of incoming / outgoing drawings & model formats.

Prepared RC drawings and schedules required for substructure on this steeply sloping site.St. Davids Shopping Centre, Cardiff3D modelling (using 3D+) and production of structural GA plans, sections & details for a new-build 12m diameter steel atrium structure inserted into this complex existing building. Senior detailer on numerous RC framed multi-storey buildings with projects upto approx £40m, clients included Taylor Woodrow Developments and Redrow Homes.The work typically involved structural GA & RC drafting/detailing/scheduling for below-ground drainage and all aspects of the structural frame and foundations, often to very tight deadlines.Generally involved in day-to-day liason with Project Architects, contractors design-coordinators, site-engineers and subcontractors.Also responsible for coordination where RC detailing was outsourced, furthering my skills in technical communication & collaboration.

Built on previous experience and became responsible for the production of GA & RC drawings and NBS specifications on a varied selection of projects, ranging from a new portal-framed 24,000m2 factory facility, through 3 new-build student accommodation blocks at Oxford University, to the refurbishment/reconstruction of RC tank bunds to meet the requirements of the Oil Storage Regulations, and numerous headwalls and RC structures for drainage schemes.As the senior technician on a 140 unit low-rise residential project I had responsibility for programming, monitoring and checking RC detailing/scheduling produced by two junior technicians for a number of RC raft foundation designs. I used this project to learn to use Multi RC for reinforcement detailing & scheduling.Also involved in the structural inspection and assessment of buildings to be demolished at MG Rover, Longbridge, and prepared hand-drawn plans, sketches & details to illustrate suggested temporary works, known constraints and proposed sequencing of works. This information was subsequently included in the demolition contract documents.

Starting out as a junior technician, I was given a thorough introduction to the structural design process for buildings and external works, and the use of AutoCAD in drawing production.By the time I left, I was responsible for the production of basic structural calculations, and GA and RC drawings for the sub' and superstructure on a variety of new-build & refurbishment projects, using all four main materials.In addition, I prepared drawings including details & long-sections for a number of minor roads and sewers for Section 104 and Section 278 applications.
