• Principle accountabilities
• Business lead for Airside Operations, line management for the Airside Ops Team and take accountability for all recruitment, absence management, performance development, training needs, competency assessments and team.
• Responsible for personal and, if applicable, team compliance with Health and Safety, Security and Environment/Sustainable Development Policies, ensuring working practices minimise risks to self, work colleagues.
• Lead investigations into any airfield related incidents.
• Manage, monitor and control the Airside Operations budget.
• Ensuring Technical competence is maintained in line with AGS & CAA expectations for departmental personnel who are involved with the safe delivery and maintenance of the aerodrome licence.

ROLE OVERVIEWTo provide effective hour by hour management and control of the airside operational areas, ensuring that the services provided by the unit relating to aircraft ground handling, airside operations and airside safety meet all statutory and mandatory practices.PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIESTo provide leadership for the Airside Operations Duty team.

My main duties were to ensure that all aircraft loading was completed in a secure manner and that all flight baggage was accounted for. I liaised with the ground handling crew and air crew to ensure aircraft boarding would commence as per schedule to ensure no delay. I was also responsible for the load planning which would include where aircraft baggage.
