Dan Richardson is a Senior Associate at Castle Law: California Employment Counsel, PC. Dan brings a board depth of experience to Castle Law. He has represented clients in single plaintiff and representative employment litigation actions, including wage and hour, discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition, Private Attorney General Act (PAGA), and other employment related litigation. He has extensive experience with all stages of litigation including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, law and motion, mediation, and trial preparation, including in complex multidistrict litigation.

Dan Richardson is an associate in the Sacramento office of Ogletree Deakins. His employment litigation practice focuses on representing employers in all stages of litigation in federal and state courts, as well as in administrative proceedings and arbitrations. Dan’s employment litigation experience includes handling wage and hour disputes, workplace harassment claims, and claims for wrongful termination. He also has experience advising clients on a wide range of employment-related matters, including, wage and hour law compliance, employment agreements, termination, and employee handbooks. Dan has represented clients in a broad array of industries, including construction, manufacturing, food processing, health care, and retail.

Represent clients in a variety of commercial and business disputes. Business litigation experience includes drafting pleadings, propounding and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing and arguing motions, and trial preparation.Advise clients on a wide range of business matters such as business entity formation, corporate governance, security issuance, mergers and acquisitions, business entity conversions, employment law, and regulatory compliance.Draft complex transactional documents including incentive stock option agreements, employment contracts, buy-sell agreements, partnership acquisition agreements, construction contracts, confidentiality agreements, and asset purchase agreements.Represent clients on a range of real property transactions including commercial purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, environmental indemnity agreements, and tenancy in common agreements. Assist clients with financing transactions by preparing promissory notes and security agreements, reviewing loan documents, conducting due diligence, preparing financing statements, and drafting opinion letters.

Assisted senior counsel in many aspects of litigation by drafting pleadings, propounding discovery, and preparing and arguing motions. Counseled clients on a variety of legal issues including business entity formation, bankruptcy nondischargability, intellectual property rights, corporate governance, security issuance, and contractual disputes. Drafted a wide range of contracts including settlement agreements, work-for-hire agreements, end-user license agreements, and buy-sell agreements.

Completed intensive loan officer training program while assuming the responsibilities of a junior lending officer.Conducted due diligence, financial and accounting analysis, negotiated terms and conditions of loan structure, underwrote and presented loan requests to a loan committee for new and renewal commercial clients.Managed an existing client portfolio of accounts, independently identified new business opportunities and corrected problem loans in the commercial middle market.
