Dan Rigney is the President and principal manager of RGC Multifamily, LLC and is charged with the responsibility of managing all areas of the business. The company has been formed with the express purpose of providing specialized general contracting services in the area of workforce housing, including LIHTC projects (both 4% and 9%), HUD financed developments and project’s utilizing historic tax credits for project financing. These types of projects are clearly compatible with Mr. Rigney’s extensive background in these area of affordable housing production. These project types will be the company’s prime focus in the coming years.

As Director of Construction Services I am responsible for the management of all construction activities for the company. This includes managing the design and plan development process, the negotiation and selection of contractors, management of the construction process on behalf of the ownership entities, approval and processing of all construction related draws and payments, providing assurance that all developments are constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications, delivering projects both on time and on budget, and finally assuring a quality development is delivered. The primary emphasis for 2015 and 2016 will be on the development and expansion of the company's affordable housing portfolio in Texas and the Southeast.

SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners has been for over a decade one of the most successful firms providing tax credit equity to the Low Income Housing Community. During my tenure I was responsible for the Construction Services Group.The Construction Services Group was responsible for overseeing and assisting developer partners in delivering quality affordable housing developments on time and on budget. The group managed development risks through original underwriting of the proposed construction plans, budget, contractor and developer, as well through on-site monitoring and approval of construction draws.I joined SunAmerica in 1998 and was responsible for all construction activities related to the Partnership’s properties including: due diligence document reviews, evaluating the qualifications of developers, contractors and associated design and engineering professionals, plan and specification review, review of all construction budgets, as well as ongoing construction oversight and construction budget and draw reviews. I was also responsible for the maintenance and updating of the SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners Design and Construction Guidelines and oversight of the company’s environmental risk program.

Prior to joining SunAmerica, I was providing construction consulting services specializing in project turn-around services for homebuilders and developers in Southern California and Nevada. In 1993, I served as the Executive Director of the Los Angeles County Housing Development Corporation, developing LIHTC housing for the County of Los Angeles. Prior to 1993, I was the principal of my own Southern California based homebuilding and development firm. From 1975 to 1998 I was responisble for the development of over 3,500 homes, 2,500 apartment units and over 1,000,000 square feet of industrial space.
