Working as part of a small team to deliver a new 500km route connecting London (Slough) to Paris with a low latency, high-count fibre-optic cable. The first system to be deployed between the UK and France and across the English Channel in almost two decades. The role involved design, commissioning, building and connecting 6 highly resilient and secure datacentres along the route. The service went live in December 2021 when the role moved to transitioning into operational readiness, onboarding of new customers, and delivering services to strict SLAs.

In-sourced the IT service desk for UK, Spain, Italy and Switzerland and ensured a smooth transition from the 3rd party provider. This included recruiting new staff, introduction of a new phone system, Remote Desktop tool plus the configuration and migration to a new ITSM tool, Freshservice.Implemented changes to improve the delivery of IT support and services for a group of 6 schools to turn around the performance of a small team of engineers following complaints that the level of service was failing to meet expectations.Completed a full telephony review and delivered a plan to address immediate issues, plus a long-term plan to ensure every school has a solution to address all their telephony requirements in the future.Responsible for leading the design and implementation all IT requirements for a recently purchased green field satellite school.Took ownership for the delivery of IT support and services for a group of 6 schools to turn around the performance of a small team of engineers following complaints that the level of service was failing to meet expectations.
