Analyze, estimate and repair pumps and pumping systems in virtually every type of application; including hygienic/ultra hygienic, marine cooling and air conditioning, industrial cooling and transfer and chemical transfer. I repair pumps for some of the largest companies in the US as well as for the military. I work closely with engineers and technicians to determine the "whys" of pump system failures, assess the costs and perform the necessary corrective actions. Fabricate pump systems; this includes the base and riser assembly and motor controls. Machine spare parts for obsolete pumps: many pumps I receive are obsolete and spare parts are no longer available. While some can can be retrofitted, many, especially in the marine industry, must have parts fabricated for them.

Repair technician responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of all plating machines. The machines consist of;-Electro-hydraulic power units capable of running hydraulic motors, servos and linear actuators.-Pumps and systems, many of the pumping systems involved are highly engineered to handle volatile chemicals that are agitated and at very high temperatures. These systems are monitored and controlled by everything from simple pressure switches to more elaborate programmable logic controls. -Boiler and boiler controls, maintain and repair boiler pumps, heat exchangers and all associated system components and piping, in a highly corrosive chemical environment. -Electrical equipment, Rectifiers, power distribution (plant and electroplating usage), conveyor controls and motors (miles of conveyor chain and belts), controller and counters (photo-electric, laser and timed) as well as common electrical devices (motor controllers, VFDs' and switches)

Hydraulics And Fluid Power Technology/Technician

A class "C" school, which is the most advanced school offered in the US Navy for hydraulic circuit engineering and operation.
