Dan serves the general counsel of UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits, a portfolio of businesses serving 50 million members nationwide operating in the commercial, Medicare and Medicaid lines of business. Expertise in managed health care, regulatory affairs, compliance, HIPAA, privacy, corporate governance, fraud, waste & abuse, mergers & acquisitions, provider contracting, and general insurance law. He manages a team of eight attorneys and nine legal professionals. Prior experience as the regulatory affairs attorney for UnitedHealthcare's California, Arizona and Hawaii health plans, the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of a Medicaid health plan and the General Counsel of a digital media company backed by Softbank.
