I have been a car / motorcycle mechanic for over 10 years gaining my NVQ level 3 along the way and as well as working for myself as a mechanic I have recently set up with great success a basic vehicle maintenance course for beginners as an introduction into basic car maintenance!

During this time period I was a self employed vehicle technician and I took a proactive approach and started to set up Auto-Skills in my spare time, I thought of the idea through talking to my clients that said they would like to know more about whats under the bonnet but hadn't got the time to enroll on a college course but would like the idea of a 1 day course just for the absolute basics.With great success in my market research and positive response from clients I designed a 1 day course to deliver individuals or employers with key basic knowledge on basic vehicle maintenance to reduce costs and save time.
