I lead an international team of 30-35 engineers across the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical drafting disciplines supporting the entire Oxygen and Passenger Service Unit (OPSU) business unit. The team is responsible for all new product mechanical and electrical design as well as sustaining and production support. The team is spread across multiple sites including Lenexa, Kansas and Luebeck, Germany. We continue to support the customers while working on continuous improvement opportunities to improve our design processes and products in a cost-effective and on-time method.

I am leading a group of engineers in support of all Embraer OEM lighting programs at B/E Aerospace. We design and integrate LED lights for use on the interior and exterior of a wide range of Embraer aircraft. Work involves design, manufacture, certification, and documentation of advanced LED assemblies I have multiple direct reports and am responsible for a wide range of program responsibilities including program schedules and milestones, program requirements, aircraft integration, optical, mechanical and electrical design, and cost effective & reliable product.

I am currently a mechanical engineer working on a wide variety of aerospace lighting projects. I work on design, production, certification, and documentation of LED lighting for both the interior and exterior of aircraft. A knowledge of optics and mechanical design are important as well as technical writing and communication. I am also involved with the assembly and production of LED assemblies.

I previously worked in the cryogenics field on a project involving re-condensing cryogenic helium. The project was funded by Argonne National Laboratory. The project involved computer modeling as well as experimental work. I had multiple undergraduate student assistants working for me. The project involves much knowledge in thermodynamics, heat transfer, instrumentation, data acquisition, and instrumentation. Previously, I worked on a project for GE Global Research involving pulsating heat pipe technology during my master's degree experience.
