The Advanced Maneuver Warfare Course target audience is mid / senior level leadership within the Marine Corps Ground Combat Element (GCE). During multiple iterations as the AMWC Chief, I successfully trained / graduated over 75 Operations and Intelligence professionals while managing the employment of 30 Instructors through a twenty-five-day program of instruction. This resulted in not only the graduation of trained Operations / Intelligence professionals within the GCE but, it also built a network of relationships between students and Instructors with the common goal of improving within the GCE.
1St Battalion, 5Th Marines Weapons Company Operations Chief
As the Weapons Company Operations Chief, responsible for the day-to-day operations of 180 Marines. Planned, coordinated, and participated in all training events prior to deployment. Directly responsible for the deployment / re-deployment of 180 Marines to multiple locations throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States. Ensured strict accountability of all logistical items distributed amongst three separate locations.
Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment (Mcsfr) Assistant Operations Chief
As the Assistant Operations Chief, directly coordinated operational and logistical requirements for 9 separate companies located throughout CONUS as well as Europe, Middle East, and Indo Pacific region. As the Platoon Sergeant for Combined Anti-Armor Platoon, responsible for the day-to-day operations of 40 Marines. Planned, coordinated, and participated in all training events prior to deployment. Deployed in a combat zone, directly responsible for the logistical sustainment and operational requirements distributed across three separate locations over a 6-month period.
School Of Infantry West Combat Instructor
Served as a Combat Instructor responsible for training entry level Marines throughout an 8-week course teaching them basic skills and occupational skills they would require as they moved onto their next respective units. As an instructor, conducted 8 iterations of this training, resulting in the successful graduation of over 1000 Marines.
3Rd Battalion, 4Th Marines Small Unit Leader
Deployed three times in support of combat operations, progressively moved from being a Rifleman to a Squad Leader during this timeframe. Learned how to effectively manage a small team and gain leadership experience as I worked up to leading a squad (12 Marines) in combat operations.
