I am currently offering affordable counselling as a part of my Master’s degree studies. I am passionate about providing accessible therapy to all, especially those who may be curious about the process and its benefits, or for those who have found cost or opportunities restrictive. As a result of experiencing the positive effects of counselling on a personal level, I am now committed to becoming a fully qualified psychotherapist. My aim is to help increase awareness around the benefits of therapy and the positive change that can result for the individual. I have over 20 years experience of teaching English and other creative subjects, am a keen musician, and a firm believer in the potential for self-improvement in an increasingly complex world. My first degree is in Philosophy, and I am especially interested in Existentialism.I am a student member of, and work within the professional and ethical guidelines of the BACP. I currently practise at Riverside Wellbeing Centre in Whaley Bridge, High Peak, Derbyshire on Tuesday mornings but other arrangements may be possible.
