As COO, Dan lead all operations for Vanguard Records under Fantasy Label Group, which is a subsidiary of Concord. In this role, he oversaw all facets of the label including marketing, operations, finance and A&R. In addition, Dan supervised the labels’ budget across sales, press, marketing, radio promotions, and international. Artists on the label included.

As General Manager for Welk’s two labels—Vanguard Records and Sugar Hill Records—Dan led the label’s transition from analog to digital music distribution in the mid-2000s by forging deals with the likes of Amazon, iTunes and X5. During his tenure, Dan was responsible for increasing sales from 5 million to 25 million via direct distribution and more focused.

As the Director of National Single Sales, Dan led a team of ten to increase visibility and singles sales nationwide for artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Janet Jackson, The Beatles, Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, and Duran Duran. Dan worked closely with Capitol, EMI, and Virgin to distribute singles to many well-known retail chains nationally.
