I oversaw day-to-day restaurant operations which included scheduling, maintenance, new employee training, and payroll for staff of the company. I coordinated public relations by assisting concerned customers, reviewing comment cards, and creating surveys. I managed all reservations which included receiving orders, discussing various menu options with customers, confirming orders, and communicating with staff on days of reservations. I completed after-hour paperwork such as bank deposit slips, inventory, ordering, and cash/change orders.

I assisted the Director of Athletics’ Operations with the planning and operation of summer camps, management of camp housing, management of camp meals coordination, management of the camp facility needs, assignment of duties to the student workers, registration process for participants in camps including check-in and check-out procedures, and with any other area to make sure all camp related needs are met. I created a comprehensive Camp Operations Manual which consisted of necessary paperwork for coaches to complete, a contact list of who to to contact for various camp needs, and the NCAA rules on camps and clinics. Along with coordinating the camps, I also assisted the Associate Director of Athletics with various tasks ranging from creating contracts for next season’s contests to working with the compliance assistant on the NCAA website.

York, Pa

I was promoted to work as a Building Supervisor after displaying exceptional ability as a practicum student. I supervised staff members working in the building on a daily basis. I cooperated with fellow staff members to discuss ways to always improve the building and events. I assisted customers and visitors of York College and the Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center. I expanded experience in both facility management and event management; including conference championships. I worked and operated the ticket desk at the Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center for athletic games, including CAC tournament games. I learned an assortment of skills including: managing the welcome desks, announcing games, keeping statistics, setting up and tearing down events. I assisted with the Sport Management Student Association (SMSA) Golf Tournament by assisting with sponsorship calls, event set-up, and doing various things for the actual tournament on that day.
