Developed and maintained integrity program for new and existing production facilities, compressor stations, pipelines and plants within the Delaware Basin. Applied knowledge of failure mechanisms within petroleum production units to advance fit-for-purpose equipment strategies and maintenance plans. Collaborated with operations and IT on digitalization projects to enhance tracking and optimization inspection and preventative maintenance activities. Led chemical injection optimization efforts over field with over 1000 producing wells. Participated in failure analysis and investigations to identify root cause and risk based follow-up actions.

Provided materials selection, welding fabrication and materials integrity support for upstream capital projects and producing assets. Led team of Inspection Planners responsible for planning all onstream and downtime related inspections for 2nd largest refining and petrochemical sites within the United States. Utilized materials engineering background and knowledge of inspection techniques (UT, RT, shear wave, TOFD, etc.) to train inspection personnel to develop targeted risk based inspection scopes. Frequently communicated identification of high risk findings to senior management and worked with operations and engineering disciplines on cost effective mitigation. Organized monthly safety meetings within inspection planning group to drive safety first culture.

Provided base materials engineering support for various refining and chemicals operating units including atmospheric and vacuum crude unit, cokers, hydrotreaters, hydrodewaxing, hydroforming, light ends unit, flare system, and MEA/sour water/gas treating/sulfur conversion units. Used knowledge of materials degradation to develop cost effective risk based inspections and maintenance plans. Developed extensive knowledge of ASME codes and API standards as they pertain to petrochemical fixed equipment (piping, pressure vessels, fired equipment, valves).
