In 2018 I was engaged by the Ryan’s group to run the Banksia Hotel as part of Monarch Hotel’s divestment process. This role allowed me the flexibility to resume my academic studies. In this role I am responsible for both the daily operations of the business and the long-term development of the asset. I was involved in the conceptualisation, planning and execution of the site’s new bottle shop and carpark development, an ambitious project that expanded the sites footprint and profile, while incorporating 2 additional businesses driving the site’s retail foot traffic. Over the course of my tenure, Banksia has demonstrated industry leading growth, with a sustained double digit growth in earnings, and a dramatic climb in state gaming rankings from 219 to 99.

Monarch Hotels is an international, private equity backed Hotel Fund, which is currently going through the final stages of its divestment process. Within Monarch Hotels, I operated within a small and dynamic senior management team and was involved in all stages of the investment cycle. Monarch Hotels during its peak held Assets Under Management worth over $150 million AUD and employed over 100+ employees in six businesses across two states.Working within the senior management team, I was dedicated to helping our international investors achieve their investment goals through sustainable and diligent investment.
