I was the Officer Commanding A Squadron, 2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment - commander of the soldiers conducting the LAND400 Phase 2 Boxer CRV Introduction Into Service. Within the impacts of COVID-19 and domestic operations, I was required to:-work alongside the Army HQ capability sponsor and CASG Project Team to execute, support and evaluate Acceptance and Operational Test and Evaluation serials.-engage with numerous military and civilian stakeholders across the Army, CASG, Rheinmetall Defence Australia and other Defence agencies to enable the achievement of Initial Operating Capability.-provide operator feedback to enable understanding, mitigation and acceptance of capability risk to enable achievement of IOC on time.-plan and execute numerous training and conversion serials to ensure the workforce can operate the Boxer CRV safely and effectively.-implement change management processes with >96 soldiers to ensure the Boxer CRV was integrated into current warfighting SOPs.-Liaise with Rheinmetall Defence Australia Field Service Representatives to implement effective maintenance and sustainment processes to ensure the capability was available to meet availability requirements.

Responsible for coordinating a small team of soldiers to perform the LAND400 Phase 2 Risk Mitigation Activity Acceptance Test and Evaluation serials. In this role my team and I were responsible for performing directed test serials and providing operator feedback to the Army HQ sponsor team and Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group project team to enable the decision to acquire the Rheinmetall Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle or BAe Systems AMV35. Around this Activity, my team and I supported battle management system demonstrations, Defence Science and Technology Group simulations and assessments, and other small capability demonstrations.
