Recruitment entrepreneur with c.20 years experience across various markets in both the private and public sectors. In 2016 after spending c.10 years within the recruitment industry I believed the traditional recruitment approach to be archaic and in need of revolution. This led me to set up S&P Recruitment with a college Louis Buttrick. After spending c.7 years at S&P I decided it was time for a new challenge and moved on to be part of a new recruitment start-up… Talent Solution Group aka TSG. Our offering is not VC-backed; we’re a bootstrapped recruiter and as a result, we’re not driven by spreadsheets and pointless KPI’s. We’re purpose-led and driven by people, relationships, authenticity, integrity, and ultimately results for our clients and candidates. Whilst other industries have advanced, recruitment generally speaking has stood still. Our approach is forward-thinking and breaks the recruitment paradigm. As a result, we don’t rely on antiquated systems or processes. We're agile, embrace technology, social media platforms and focus on what matters the most - candidate and client delivery! Because we are truly purpose-led we are hoping to become a fully-fledged employee-owned business in the near future as we grow. With regard to my approach, I truly value long-term relationships over short-term gain, and I achieve this by placing quality at the heart of everything that I do. This is reflective of the fact I've worked with some clients and candidates for over 10 years! I typically network and meet with Company Owners, MD’s, Senior Managers/Decision Makers. They represent successful, ambitious and or growing companies but have identified issues and frustrations within both their business and recruitment process. They can be feeling frustrated at this and are willing to ask questions like; what can we do to improve our business issues/performance and how can we attract the best talent?I’m probably not for everyone though. I'm challenging, I'm brutal in my honesty and assessments. I'm not hired for hugs, cuddles or social catch-ups, I'm not looking for friends; I’m looking to get rid of clients' recruitment frustrations by improving their processes and saving them time and money.
