Audio-Video Producer, Videographer And Editor
CurrentShoot, edit, and produce safety videos for the command website (www.public.navy.mil/navsafecen), broadcast, CD/DVD distribution, and YouTube Channels (www.youtube.com/user/ navalsafetycenter and www.youtube.com/user/dsteber1849) . I also write and review scripts for in-house and external video productions. Extensive knowledge of AVID editing systems (Adrenaline, Mojo, and UNITY/ISIS) and Premiere Pro (CS6 suite), including Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, and associated programs. Limited knowledge of Final Cut Pro. Oversee a full studio with control room, sound booth, editing bays, and dub room that includes BETA decks of all variety (analog and digital), several U-matics, and smaller SONY/JVC digital decks (DV/DVCAM/XDCAM). Have used switchers and associated equipment to produce "live to tape" productions. Most of these productions were in the studio using three SONY D50 cameras connected to CCU's (now upgraded to SONY PDW-700s through a SONY MCS-8M switcher) in a studio control room. But I also have used Tricaster and other laptop-based systems in the field, including Black Magic ATEM Studio. Well versed with a variety of cameras, including SONY PDW-700, Z1U, and A1U. I also have used several Canons, including XL2, XL-H1 and XF-300/305, and JVC GY-200 series cameras. I'm in the process of learning to shoot video with DSLR cameras. The two-person studio produced more than 100 video products per year for three years. Currently averaging 80-85 per year. Recently (Oct 2013) ran the switcher for a three-camera live shoot aboard USS George Bush for the CNO's (Admiral Greenert) visit. Live broadcast was from the hangar bay of the ship and signal fed through a live satellite truck on the pier. Familiar with the equipment and operations in a live-truck shoot (HD-SDI or Fiber). Take still photos with NIKON D1X and D3 cameras.
