The driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory, Utah in May 1869 signified the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad. Spike 150 is Utah’s celebration of this remarkable achievement. Through a year-long series of events throughout Utah and the nation, we hope to unify, educate, inspire, and leave a legacy. China Academy of Painting, founded in July 2002, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy. research, education, collection and intercultural communication of Chinese painting and calligraphy. The purpose of the group is to develop great artists and promote international exposure of Chinese art.The headquarters of China Academy of Painting is located in Haidian District, in Beijing's northwest area. There are more than 10 subdivisions of the academy distributed in different regions of China and around the world. People working with the group are greatest Chinese traditional artists and calligraphers, government officials, related business enterprises and charity organizations.
