Reporting to the Audit Committee Chair, I am responsible for the development and subsequent delivery of the risk based Internal Audit plan, aligned to the strategy of the business. I lead a talented team of auditors with a breadth of experience in finance, operations, technology and compliance, located in Luxembourg and Miami.Originally I performed this role on a secondment basis while being employed by PwC, but took up the role full-time in December 2016.

I led the IT Internal Audit practice within Risk Assurance, with a specific focus on supporting FTSE 150 and other large organisations in this area. Specialising in IT Internal Audit, I covered all areas of technology and digital risk, including cyber security and data privacy, IT resilience, use of cloud/3rd parties and overall IT governance, management and operations.I have worked with a number of global companies to design risk-based audit plans, covering technology, financial, operational and strategic risks. I have also led teams in performing audits, identifying and testing key controls to ensure risks are effectively mitigated and developing recommendations that are practical and can be easily implemented.I also held the position of Head of Internal Audit and Risk, reporting directly to the Audit Committee Chair, while on secondment to two multi-national companies, one FTSE 100 and another FTSE 250 equivalent. In performing these roles, I was responsible for developing their Internal Audit methodology and annual audit plans, as well as refreshing the structure of the Internal Audit team to ensure effective focus and alignment with the business.

I was the Practice Director of the UK Cyber Security business, responsible for the effective operation of a team of nearly 60 Risk Assurance professionals. This role included resource planning, training and development and financial management (budgeting, revenue reporting and engagement profitability), as well as co-ordinating the various joint business relationships with our alliance partners.I also have experience of helping organisations across various industry sectors to ensure they have appropriate controls in place to mitigate cyber security risks, from both a technical and business process perspective.During my time at PwC, I have also worked with fixed, mobile and cable operators across the globe to develop best practice business processes to improve operational performance, maximise revenue, reduce costs and minimise exposure to risk.

Worked with the Networks, Technology and IT division to ensure revenue maximisation within all their systems (switches, mediation platform and billing systems) through the identification of control weaknesses and subsequent implementation of processes and controls.
