Having started out as a junior IT technician in the 1990s while working for a company then known as Breeze Software, I was then asked to take on a roll in branch co-ordination and finally project management. As a result, I developed a passion for Microsoft Project and its application to real world problems and began sharing my experiences with others through my training and consulting role at Pollak Learning Alliance (now known as TP3). With the release of Project Central (the first version of Microsoft Project Server) my interest was naturally piqued and so began a long history of working with each of the subsequent releases of Project Server - 2002 (getting better), 2003 (ok), 2007 (timesheets were horrible), 2010 (great release), 2013 (all of the 2010 goodness with a cleaner UI).Along the way I continued to provide consulting services and training in project management concepts for many clients including delivering public courses for Dimension Data Learning Solutions.These days the delivery of professional services related to Project Server keeps me pretty busy. However, the background in project management and thorough understanding of project management concepts helps me to provide my clients with solutions that address business requirements either through configuration of the tool or through enhanced business processes.
