Portfolio Manager in the Bank's Commercial Lending Division. Supporting Relationship Managers by managing a loan portfolio that consists of C&I and real estate clients

• Responsible for developing new business banking relationships and cross-selling Bank products. Target companies are located in Central New Jersey and have annual sales in the $1MM to $20MM range. Financing products.
• Working with Bank partners in Treasury Services, Merchant, Residential Real Estate and Retail Branch network to cross-sell their services and further develop the relationship.
• Current portfolio consists of 33 relationships with $25MM in loan commitments and $5MM in deposits.
• Work and mentor branch partners to maximize sales efforts to business customers and cross sell products and services that the Bank offers. Participate and organize calling blitzes with branch managers.
• Network with centers of influence including accountants, attorneys and other referral sources to develop business. Organized business networking events at the Bank’s Marlboro branch.
• Evaluate credit information and requests and recommend appropriate loan structure to manage and mitigate risk. Where appropriate, introduce SBA and/or EDA credit products or enhancements.

• Work with Bank partners (Branch Managers, Treasury Management, Private Client etc.) to develop strategies for maintaining and further developing business from existing relationships.
• Meet with clients and prospects to determine financing, deposit and treasury services needs and propose solutions. Worked with Bank partners in Treasury services and other areas of the Bank to structure solutions to.
• Worked directly with Bank’s underwriters to structure credit facilities.
• Worked and mentored several Relationship Managers to help them develop their commercial credit skills.

• Responsible for managing a $100MM commercial loan portfolio and underwriting of new credit requests to prospects and existing clients. Target companies were located in Central New Jersey and had annual sales in the.
• Working directly with Relationship Managers in order to structure and underwrite credit facilities for clients/prospects. This included meeting with clients and prospects and preparing credit analysis.
• Evaluating a borrower’s cash flow, collateral and risks in order to structure facilities that meet the borrower’s financial needs and satisfy the Bank’s underwriting criteria.
• Monitoring the financial condition of existing borrowers to ensure that the portfolio contained credits with acceptable credit quality. Restructure credit facilities as needed.
• Involved with the closing of approved credit facilities, interacting with borrower’s and Bank counsel.
