I serve as the Head of Virtual Instruction at OptimaEd, a pioneering virtual education provider for K–12 students. I earned a doctor of education degree in Educational Leadership from UNC Chapel Hill as well as masters degree in Liberal Studies from Duke University while working as an administrator, teacher, and coach. For the past 10 years, I have successfully led and grown academic institutions, faculty, and admissions initiatives, while fostering a positive and collaborative organizational culture.My core competencies include staff development, curriculum design, professional development, and educational technology. I am passionate about creating and delivering innovative and engaging learning experiences for students and educators, using cutting-edge EdTech tools and content-rich pedagogies. I successfully tripled enrollment and doubled faculty/staff at both schools where I served as Head. I am also an experienced presenter, speaker, and facilitator, with a strong background in educational technology including spatial computing and AI, liberal arts, pedagogy and instructional design, English, and history.
