My role is to lead the Product Management team across the Commercial business, translating business strategy into a clear roadmap agenda for our changes over the next few years. Claims Development had been recently formed following some restructuring and was in need of some dedicated leadership given the role incumbent was on Mat Leave, so I was asked to take on this role for a period prior to her return - therefore I needed to catalyse the strategic design, planning and delivery of the Claims Development function. Leading our Continuous Improvement function, the team is focussed on operational process efficiencies and improved customer outcomes using Lean methodology. With focus on the cultural adoption and process design following ongoing IT team changes the role is a pivotal one in leaving a legacy of positive change following system migration for both customers and colleagues.In support of this the role also encompasses leading the Claims Capability function which designs and delivers Technical Claims training and also our key customer and process controls held within QA and the Risk functions.

I have recently taken a role outside of HR to solidify my experience within the Financial Services industry and to gain real experience working in front-line operations. At present this is a secondment role.I am currently responsible for around half of the Liability Claims operation in AXA Insurance, with 6 Direct Reports who in turn manage c.70 staff and head up the operational leadership and performance management of all teams in the unit under my control, including EL/PL, PLPD, MLP and PI lines of business.Reporting to the Head of Liability Claims and working with numerous stakeholders both inside AXA and external to AXA including panel solicitors and suppliers as part of the AXA Liability Claims network.
