Part of a team of designers / principals taking new product designs from concept through to production. Everyday design activities include: Meeting with clients for brainstorm meetings to develop a project outline. Using image boards to judge competitive products and focus in on a design direction or theme. Research of materials and processes. Concept sketching for both internal and client review. Refinement of concepts in 2D CAD programs such as Illustrator or Photoshop. First round foam appearance, ergonomics/human factors and or working breadboard models. Refinement in 3D CAD (Solidworks) to create solid models to show surface detail and ensure functionality of concepts. Working with engineering groups to ensure sourced component fitment and functionality. Refined SLA appearance models / working prototypes for internal client review and customer research / focus groups. Refinement of 3D CAD to a production ready CAD package with control drawings. Develop packaging and graphics for products to ensure adequate protection and maximum product exposure. Quoting for tooling and prototype parts. Short run production for consumer product testing.

Design Consultant / Freelancer - Worked to provide all essential design services needed. Providing concepts, ideas, sketches, breadboard / appearance models and product documentation in 2D and 3D. Worked in many different product categories from toys to consumer electronics to tools.

Part time Graphic Design position. Design layout, art direction, copy writing, and image manipulation for advertisements, brochures, and catalogs. Clients include, Verizon Wireless, Gerber Scientific, Byram Healthcare, Purdy Corp, etc.
