Since the beginning of my career, I’ve been driven by the belief that there is always a better way. Whether it was automating a manual data-entry process in my earliest days as a financial analyst, working with departments to evaluate and analyze initiatives as an internal business consultant, or helping companies transform their planning processes as a consultant for the past 20 years, the joy I’ve experienced in my work has always come from finding a better way.Technology is an enabler of business transformation and is often an essential component of the better way. Starting with my very first job after college, Essbase and the Oracle EPM solutions that have risen from it have been the key technologies I’ve relied upon in my work. My career has very much been focused on the implementation of Oracle EPM technology, but my background is in Finance. I studied Finance in college, began my career in Corporate Finance, and still consider myself a Finance guy. It is through that Finance lens that I seek first to understand my client’s business model, challenges, and objectives, and then provide advice and guidance on how Oracle EPM can be used to optimize the model and support the achievement of those objectives. Over the past 20 years, as part of one of the largest Oracle EPM implementation partners, I’ve worked with over 60 different clients in various industries to do just that.Today, I’m excited to work with my partners – and brothers – at Empowered EPM. With our combined experience and expertise in the world of Oracle EPM, and our customer-centric approach to Oracle EPM consulting, I believe we offer a better way to help you find your better way.
